Botox and Dysport are two types of cosmetic injectables that weaken and relax the muscles near the injection site. Both are able to block a chemical called "acetylcholine". These neurotoxins reduce muscle contraction, which causes wrinkles.
Dysport is cheaper

Botox as well as Dysport can be used to treat wrinkles. However they do have differences. Botox has a stronger effect and can be used on smaller areas, like the forehead. Dysport tends to be less concentrated and covers a wider area. The main differences in these two injectables are their dosages and how long they take.
However, side effects can occur due to both products. Dysport is a procedure that can be dangerous for patients. Patients should be aware that there may be some swelling and bruising, but they should not lie down after an injection. They should also avoid exercise for at least four hours after the treatment. Although they are similar in their effects, they have different molecular and structural differences. Some people may experience side effects from either drug.
It is safer
Botox and Dysport both have certain risks. Although injectables like Botox and Dysport can be safely administered, it is important for you to discuss potential dangers with your physician before you begin any treatment. Botulinum toxicity can be caused by these neurotoxins.
Although the main ingredient is the same in both injections, the levels of trace proteins in each product make one treatment more efficient than the other. Both products are under investigation to find out which one is more safe and effective. Botox takes longer to dry while the injections are quick. You can leave the doctor's office once the injection is completed.
